Just
as in previous years, there will be one flat all-encompassing "gig" fee
that covers all events that involve significant out-of-pocket costs for
the organizers.
This year's
fee will be
$230 per person. It
covers (among other things):
· Friday Afternoon Welcome Party and delicious hors d'oeuvres
· Friday Evening Dinner Banquet, and keynote speaker Mark Grady
· Saturday and Sunday Tech Sessions (which qualify as FAA WINGS safety sessions!)
· Saturday Santa Maria
Tri-Tip BBQ Buffet Lunch at the Radisson
· Saturday Evening Dinner at the beautiful oceanside Steamers of Pismo Beach
· BFUB Transportation to (and from!) Steamers
· Meeting Rooms and Coffee Service at the Santa Maria Radisson
It's a great deal for the money!

Lodging at the SMX Radisson Hotel will cost $109 per night for either a single or double room, which is well below the regular Radisson room rate. Be sure you check in as a SMXgig attendee and get the special rate. We have our definitive preference listed with the hotel for rampside rooms - early registration can only help, but of course, the rampside rooms are subject to availability depending on how many existing guests are in those rooms.
IMPORTANT: This year, our rooming lists are due to the hotel on Friday, April 4, 2008, which will guarantee the group rate and room availability. The hotel will accept additional room reservations after that, on a space- and rate-available basis. They will try their best to accommodate us after that date, but we strongly suggest we get everything to them by April 4. If there is anything I can do to help you in your registration process, please email me (cory@smxgig.org) and I'll do whatever I can.
Since this is the 20th anniversary of SMXgig, our room block may fill up sooner than usual, so please register as soon as possible to guarantee a room.
If you’re not sure about something, then just give us your best guess! You can amend your registration form later if your situation changes.
After you register, you can lock in your slot by sending a check, money order, credit card order, or PayPal payment for $230 per person.
This year, room reservations ($109 for the discounted group rate) may be made by calling the hotel directly at 805/928-8000 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (Pacific Time), Monday through Friday. Be sure to identify yourself as part of the SMXgig Group. If you are unable to call the hotel during those times, just email Cory and she’ll make sure your reservation is made. In that case, we’ll need a credit card number to guarantee the first night’s stay. (Although some people have gotten by without hotel rooms in the past, it’s not recommended…)
If you think you can make it, it would be best to get on the rooming list - if you're not able to make it after all, just let me know as soon as possible, and we can take care of it for you.
Of course, any SMXgiggers who register after that may also room with someone with an existing room ... with their consent, of course!
The deadline for cancellation with a full refund - and for payment of the gig fee is Sunday, April 13, 2007. A partial refund will be available until Monday, April 21, 2007.
